Mission Statement

The Excise Tax Division of the Department of Audit is the independent audit organization for State taxes and fees administered by the Department of Revenue, the Department of Transportation and the Secretary of State.  This division is dedicated to providing a reasonable level of assurance that the State receives the excise tax revenue to which it is legally entitled.
