Description of PowerPoint Viewer 2003:

The PowerPoint Viewer comes with PowerPoint and is free to distribute with your presentation file. Microsoft allows the distribution of this file only so that people who do not have PowerPoint can still present or view your slide show.  PowerPoint Viewer now supports graphics, animations, media, and printing.

You can add the Viewer to the same disk as a presentation by using the Package for CD wizard found under the File menu.  Then you can unpack the Viewer and presentation together and run the slide show on another computer.

Please note:  The PowerPoint viewer is only available for PC computers. Because the PowerPoint viewer is an executable (.exe) file, Macintosh computers will not run the PowerPoint viewer. They do not recognize .exe files. If you wish to show your presentation on a Macintosh computer, please make sure PowerPoint is installed on it.

To install PowerPoint Viewer, follow these instructions:

1.   Download the file by clicking the PowerPoint Viewer icon (below) and saving the file to your hard disk.

2.       Double-click the PPViewer.exe program file on your hard disk to start the setup program.

3.       Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation.

To install on a computer running Windows 98 Second Edition (SE):

·        Install the updated Windows installer for Windows 98.

·        Restart your computer.

·        Follow the installation instructions in the section above.
